At MSU, inclusion is not an isolated initiative or an afterthought—it is a natural and essential extension of our educational philosophy and governance ethos. On the initiative of the then Honourable Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dhanesh Patel, a formal shape was given to this vision in the establishment the Disability Resource Centre (DRC). Due to his dedication and tireless efforts the Centre has evolved from an idea into a meaningful institutional reality.

The DRC is not a peripheral support office—it is structurally integrated into MSU’s academic and administrative framework. The Centre functions with:
- Full Institutional Support– Backed by university leadership and resources
- Operational Freedom– Autonomous decision-making for student welfare
- Statutory Responsibility– Mandated accountability under national law
- Cross-Campus Authority– Empowered to work across all faculties, departments, constituent colleges, and administrative units
This ensures that accessibility and inclusion are addressed systematically, sensitively, and transparently—not on an ad hoc or fragmented basis.

- Government of India & Government of Gujarat Directives– Social Justice and Empowerment Department mandates
